Six years ago I was a divorced, unemployed, female veteran living in a homeless shelter for military veterans. Fast-forward to two years ago when I was introduced to Jennifer Young by a mutual friend. My journey toward home ownership was fraught with pitfalls and disappointments. Covid hit the housing market and then exploded, which threw my house hunting into high gear. Jen had my back. We had some specific things in mind for a house, and after a number of weeks, found a house at a good price that fit the bill. She helped us put together an offer, including strategizing around what terms we should offer. Despite another offer being a few thousand dollars higher than ours, those strategies led the sellers to choose our offer— the listing agent also mentioned that she preferred to work with Sarah over some of the other agents.
After we had a contract in place on the house, she went above and beyond by setting up appointments for various contractor work on the house, including radon mitigation, preventative pest control, and mold remediation.
