Six years ago I was a divorced, unemployed, female veteran living in a homeless shelter for military veterans. Fast-forward to two years ago when I was introduced to Jennifer Young by a mutual friend. My journey toward home ownership was fraught with pitfalls and disappointments. Covid hit the housing market and then exploded, which threw my house hunting into high gear. Jen had my back. She guided me through all the pitfalls, which included viewing homes with a service dog, during COVID-19 restrictions, falling in love with houses that were sold before I finished the viewing, and having to rescind an offer I made on a house too difficult for me to live in. After nearly 40 realtors calling and texting me with desperation in their voices along their sales numbers I was truly done speaking with all of them, Erin did not approach the listing of my house this way. She explained her approach, her vision, her knowledge of the area and explained the do's and dont's of the area. She set modest but obtainable goals for the property based on how much I was willing to do to the property to attract solid buyers.
